Before carrying out the test, the samples must be notched to create a grimace and predict the fracture point. The ATS model for plastics can carve samples up to 28 3.2mm (1/8 ") in thickness each time.The operation of this notching machine is automatic and requires minimal supervision by the operator. Once the sample has been loaded, the operator starts the test with a button push.
