The WET SHEAR automatic equipment is a variation of the Tappi T842 Standard, which allows us to obtain the time of shear (in seconds) of the glue in a sample of corrugated board submerged in water with a certain constant load applied (Wet Shear Adhesion Test). A weight of 1 or 2 kilos is applied depending on the strength of the cardboard. It is a test extremely important in boxes for fruits specially in banana boxes were the humidity and low temperature are very demanding, similar to the ice cream and fish boxes that are going to be in high frozen ambient.
