Overview
The BVT is a cold wall vacuum furnace designed to operate at 1800°C in vacuum and 2000°C in neutral or reducing atmosphere.
- Choice of high or low vacuum.
- Heating by high grade graphite elements.
- Fully automatic "fail safe" system is fitted as standard.
- The top loading swing door is fully interlocked for safety.
- Temperature control is by thermocouple up to 1800°C and by optical pyrometer above 1800°C.
- The furnace is equipped for use with inert/reducing gases with automatic purging for maximum purity of atmosphere. A simple flowmeter calibrated for argon is fitted.
- Chamber access is via a pneumatically operated lid lift system with manual swing aside to clear the furnace top.
